Engleza, bat-o vina

Eu: Hey Alice! How are you?
Alice:Good. How about yourself?
Eu: Good, thanks. Do you want to go to see a movie?
Alice: I don't know. I have a lot of homework to do.
Eu: You can do the homework tomorrow.
Alice: Ok.

Teoria:Cum ne-a invatat la scoala:
I met with Alice today, and I asked her how was she doing.
She replied she was ok and asked me back how I was doing.
I said I was ok and I invited her to see a movie.
She said that she had a lot of homework to do.
I told her that she can do her homework tomorrow.

I met Alice and I was LIKE: How are you?.
And then she was LIKE: Good. how about yourself?
And I was LIKE: Good thanks. Do you want to go to see a movie?
And she was LIKE: I don't know. I have a lot of homework.
And I was LIKE: You can do them tomorrow.
And she was LIKE: Ok.

Doar daca stiau si profele noastre de engleza de magicul, fabulosul, atat de mult folositul cuvant "LIKE", ce viata usoara aveam cu past tense-ul in liceu.
Atentie, nu mai exista timp trecut in engleza vorbita: ci doar LIKE plus prezent sau viitor. Atat.
"What'up dude?"
"Yo dogg what did you have to prepare for today?"
"Hey sister let's keep o rollin' with exercise number 2 from page 15?"
